An Evening with Centro de Derechos Humanos

Featuring:

Stephanie Erin Brewer, Coordinator of International Affairs, Centro Prodh, Mexico City

The evening will highlight human rights issues, Latin American civil rights, women’s rights, and students’ rights in Latin America – an especially relevant topic given the sensitivity of diplomacy between the U.S. and Mexico.

Wednesday | May 17, 2017 | 5:30 PM

University of Denver | Sturm Hall | Room 453

Located west of the Ricketson Law Building directly across the Campus Green

All are welcome!

Centro de Derechos Humanos recently received the Commitment to Others award from the Mexican Center for Philanthropy and has been recognized by the Ford Foundation as “human rights defenders in Mexico.” Centro Prodh has a 28-year history fighting for human rights in Mexico. The organization has helped numerous people, including survivors of sexual torture by police during the demonstrations in Atenco; extrajudicial executions in Tlatlaya; and has worked in the case of 43 students who disappeared in Ayotzinapa.
